Marketing & promo assets for America’s Founding Son

The biggest challenge with this piece of marketing was to turn the wonderful provided cover art into a kind of vintage etching-esque line work as requested by Bob Crawford.

After much trial and error with Procreate, I was able to trace the cover and apply some wonderful etching brushes. I created mockups along the way for review too (so crucial imo).

The red background, also used in the cover reveal animation, is a tracing of a federal building in DC. I really loved the pillars and thought it would work well with helping visually set the book’s historical nature plus offset the painterly style of the book.
