overview

Here’s some enamel pins I designed for fun (not so much profit). All were illustrated and designed by me with a combination of hand sketches and vectors fine-tuned in Illustrator.

Buds & suDS

I had a project rolling around in my head for the better part of two years based on my love of putting succulents in beer cans. I lived in Austin, TX at the time and producing them locally was a goal of mine from the start. I partnered with print and merch company Mindzai to bring these to life and they did a wonderful job!

I think the most fun thing about this was re-creating a lot of the typography and/or finding typography that would match what the original brands were going for. The Duff Beer can, of course, I had to study screencaps from that good ol’ cartoon that’s now owned by a really big corporation.

Give No Hecks

This is my favorite pin design, and the first I’d ever made. I’d been carrying this sketch around with me in my notebook for two years before I finally made it a reality.

Starmadillo

This pin was another sketch I’d let roll around in my head for a while: a glow-in-the-dark armadillo — which a commenter on some social media post gifted me with the true name, Starmadillo.

I wanted to experiment a bit with the idea of preorder incentives so I set up the option to preorder on my Storenvy. I created a little GIF mockup to show how the pin would glow to give purchasers an idea of what they would be getting.

Preorder folks also enjoyed an exclusive kiss cut sticker sheet as a thank you for helping me get the pin manufactured!
